These are the moments

These are the moments to remember. And we don’t always get to choose when our moments happen.

You are busy, pulled in a million directions, and oftentimes when a family member, partner, or loved one calls or needs us, it’s not the right time. ⁣

You just want to relax or finish what you were doing. ⁣

“Give me a minute.” “Not right now, honey.” “Can I call you later?”⁣

But times moves quickly and our opportunities to connect and make memories lessen. ⁣

I’m not saying you have to stop what you are doing all the time or put your lives on hold for others, but try to recognize and appreciate the little opportunities. ⁣

Take advantage of these moments. ⁣

When someone call, take 10 minutes and really focus on the conversation without looking at your phone. ⁣

Play those games. Listen to those stories. ⁣

Make it a habit to ask about your loved one’s day. ⁣

Look beyond the perfect time or putting it off for another day. We may not get to choose. ⁣

These brief connections make lasting memories. Take those moments.
