Making sense

Sometimes things don’t make sense. ⁣

Sometimes people don’t make sense. ⁣

I’ve said these phrases twice the past few days, yesterday with a client and today with my teenage son. ⁣

We can’t always know the 𝘸𝘩𝘺 behind our thoughts or actions of those of someone else. ⁣

And so my question is: do we really need to? ⁣

I have found that it is okay to not know, to not fully understand, and to not go deep. It’s not always necessary.⁣

But what is important is to consider your response. Your next move. The actions that you will take in the future based upon the information that you have now. ⁣

That’s where the gold is - the heart of the issue. This is where you decide if you can accept things (and others) for how they appear. Or not. ⁣

Can you head into the future with the information you have now? In your job, your relationship, and/or with your self?⁣

Sometimes life doesn’t make sense, but you can still make sense out of life.
