“Yes, but, I didn’t”⁣

“But I only did”⁣

“I still have to”⁣

If I had a dollar for every time I have heard someone push away an accomplishment, I would be on a private island somewhere. With lots of sunscreen. ⁣

Where did we learn that? I understand being humble, but this is an act of invalidation. Dismissal. Rejection. Of yourself. ⁣

Thinking that you are somehow less than just because you could have done more is faulty thinking. There will always be more. That is a fact. But it doesn’t have to be attached with what you did. They aren’t related. ⁣

Celebrate yourself. Life is hard. We are all facing so much more today than previous generations, pulled in so many directions. ⁣

Give yourself credit for what you do. Take pride in your accomplishments. ⁣

Remove the tendency to identify with your limits rather than strengths. You are better than that. ⁣
