Paint your life.
Paint your life. In full color.
You’re not stuck. That noise inside your head that tells you who you are or what you can do isn’t in charge. You are. Think of your brain as a computer. It gives you the information that you program. What you ask for.
All that self-doubt, anxiety, fear, and worry...the overthinking, over-analyzing, and overwhelm? That’s you. That’s a pattern you learned a long time ago, perhaps from childhood or a difficult relationship. That’s the world telling you who you are and you believing them. It’s not true.
You are doing everything you’re supposed to do. Moving through life in a way that “should” work, yet it’s still difficult at times. Those novices of self-doubt can be so loud at times.
Quiet the voice. Quiet the “You can’t do this” or “This is how you’re supposed to be” voice. Notice it and then change it. Challenge it.
“Maybe you’re right, but I’m still going to try.” Or, one of my favorite childhood statements, “You’re not the boss of me.”
Show your brain who is boss. Who is in charge.
Your brain doesn’t get to decide your day. That’s your job. So pick up a pen or even a paintbrush, and paint your life. In full color.
