Ask the right question.

You know you want change. ⁣

You want to be happier, more patient, in better shape, etc., but 𝘩𝘰𝘸? ⁣

Where do you start? ⁣

Go deep. ⁣

For example, if you say you want to lose weight, that is a good statement. ⁣

But understanding that you want to lose weight because you have heart issues in your family and you’re worried you’re going to have a heart attack, that’s a specific issue. ⁣

OR, wanting to lose weight because you don’t feel good about yourself and your body image is wrapped up with your self-esteem, that’s completely different. ⁣

So, perhaps the better step would be to inquire, ⁣

“How will my life change when I reach this goal?”⁣

“Why do I want this?”⁣

Some of you might be thinking, weight loss is weight loss so who cares what the reason behind it is and that’s true! To a point. ⁣

But when you examine goal setting, you need more than the idea. You need a plan, motivation, follow through, and consistency. This is more achievable and a little easier, when you know exactly what you want, what you need, and why. ⁣

𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯 you make the plan.⁣

So, when thinking about changing your life, make sure you’re asking yourself the right question. ⁣
