Indecision

Does this make sense? Indecision or choice?⁣

“I don’t know what to do,”⁣

“I guess I’ll just wait and see.”⁣

I hear this a lot with my coaching clients, and there are times when indecision is OK. ⁣

But indecision, whether it is saying yes or no, or putting off something you need to do, is a decision.⁣

Your passive acceptance of how someone treats you is a decision.⁣

Your avoidance of an issue because you don’t want to create an argument, is a decision.⁣

And maybe you are not ready to take such a bold stance in whatever situation you’re going through right now, and that’s fine! ⁣

So what do you do?⁣

How do you handle the stress and anxiety that arises?⁣

For now, own your indecision.⁣

Say it in a powerful way...⁣

“I am choosing to not make a decision right now.”⁣

“I have decided to wait until...”⁣

This little mind shift will help alleviate the negative side effects of indecision (anxiety, worry, depression, fear), because you have flipped from indecision to choice. ⁣

It is a temporary solution, but one that can get you through a difficult moment until you’re ready.
